ATTENTION:
Before we can open a claim file for your roof, we need a copy of your
Proof of Purchase for your IKO shingles. The proof of purchase
is important to you for two reasons. First, it will establish
that the shingles on your roof are our product. Second, it will
help to establish that you have warranty coverage, as our warranty
mainly applies to the original purchaser of our products.
Proof of purchases that IKO can accept for claims purposes include:
- Sales invoice (bill of sale) or delivery ticket. Either will
identify who purchased the shingles, what model of IKO shingles were
used, the quantity of shingles in use, and the original purchase
date.
- Original roofing contract that identifies the specifics of the
shingles used, and the purchaser. To be valid as a proof of
purchase, the contract must also include the home address where the
shingles were to be installed.
- On new homes, a copy of the real estate agreement, identifying
the shingles used, and the home address where they were installed.
- On manufactured homes, documents containing the manufacturers’ name,
the unit serial number, and that show that you are the original owner
of the unit.
If you have your Proof of Purchase, contact the Customer Service
office at (800) 361-5836 to obtain your claim number, and submit
your Proof of Purchase with your completed claims documents. The
company is unable to consider payment of any claim without the submission
of a valid Proof of Purchase.
