J.W. Garland’s Silver Anniversary a Golden Partnership Opportunity with IKO !! J.W. Garland is celebrating it’s 25th year in business this year, although we’re much newer to the roofing business than that. We started bringing in shingles a few years back, but just got on board with IKO last year. Our new partnership with IKO has been working out very well. IKO provides us with timely service and delivery of products, and gives our customers quality products at a competitive price. The wide range of colors and styles appeals to our clients, and the larger IKO shingles helps them to gain an added advantage when quoting for new jobs. We also appreciate that IKO keeps the production of its raw materials in house. The fact that they produce their own granules, for example, is a big benefit, because we rarely need to deal with “do not mix” problems with color changes the way other competitors do. IKO is pretty new to our market, and we’ve still got a way to go to help the local roofers to get familiar with the benefits of IKO’s products, and we’re definitely looking forward to IKO’s increased presence in this area once their new plant opens in Alabama. We think it’s a golden opportunity for both of us to benefit from this partnership in the years ahead.Johnny GarlandJW Garland Wholesale - Ethridge, TN
Introducing IKO Gives a Fresh Start for Reese Wholesale . At Reese Wholesale, we’ve been in the business for 75 years in Indiana, and more than 20 years in Fort Wayne. We had the chance to visit IKO’s Kankakee plant when it opened a few years ago, and decided in May of 2008 to start supplying their shingles. IKO had been away from our market for a while, so it represented a new introduction for their products and for us as their customer. We’ve been very impressed with the results. IKO’s quality and lineup are a big benefit, and that goes beyond just the shingles. Our ability to sell a full system of IKO products to our customers, including starter strips, hip and ridge and underlayment is a big advantage. With IKO, it’s not just the products; they listen to us as partners as well. When we’ve gone to them with suggestions or concerns, they’ve stepped up and made changes that have made the relationship even more successful. That kind of partnership makes everyone better.Ross Smith, Vice PresidentReese Wholesale, Fort Wayne IN
