CANADA – Last year, Canada’s W Network debuted a show called Game of Homes. Four couples were challenged to use their amateur home renovation skills to turn rundown houses into their dream homes.
Every week, the couples were challenged to redo a specific room. Guest judges determined the winner of that challenge and awarded a prize. The season finale grand prize-winning couple, as judged by renowned style/decor gurus, Colin and Justin, won the home they renovated and a plot of land to put it on.
Now, Roofmart and IKO will help them tackle these challenges in Game of Homes Season 2.
Teja Singh, Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator at Roofmart says, “We’d been asked previously to supply siding and aluminum – eaves trough, downpipe and elbows – on another W Network show: Love It or List It. It was an absolute delight working with the show’s team and our suppliers to see the final results. Based on that experience, saying yes to this latest project was an easy decision.”
Since 1957, Roofmart and IKO have been successful partners in the roofing products industry.
Brad Dicks, Social Media Manager at IKO says, “We’re always looking for new ways to let people know about the high-quality roofing shingles we manufacture. Supplying product to a nationally broadcast show like A Game of Homes will help raise awareness of the IKO brand and offer a new and exciting forum to participate in.”
Corus Entertainment is the parent company of the W Network. As Canada’s number one specialty channel for women, more than 10 million viewers tune-in to W Network during an average month. While viewership statistics for Game of Homes are not currently available, Corus states that the original Canadian lifestyle reality series is especially popular with females aged 25 to 54 years.
“That demographic is important to us,” Dicks continues. “Female homeowners are integral in the selection of products and design of their homes. We aim to be conscious of opportunities just like this to connect with all our audiences, in different ways.”
“When people see the truly spectacular color blends of our latest IKO Dynasty shingles on these homes, they’ll appreciate how those products can benefit their own roofing project. We are thrilled to be partnering with Roofmart on this fresh, new stage,” Dicks says.
The companies will be leveraging their participation to showcase and promote IKO’s latest premium architectural roofing shingle: IKO Dynasty with ArmourZone®.
Both companies will also appear in the official “Resource Guide” to the products and suppliers featured on Game of Homes.
Season 2 premiered on the W Network on Tuesday, April 12. Filmed in Oshawa, Ontario, it wrapped in November and Singh was there on set. She already knows how many squares of IKO Dynasty roofing shingles were used, and which of the seven color blends each team of contestants chose.
But mum’s the word – no spoilers! You’ll just have to watch Game of Homes and see for yourself.
