IKO Roofing Remembers and Supports Our Troops…

IKO Roofing Remembrance Veterans Day November 11 2015On November 11, 1918 an armistice was signed that signaled the end of the first great world war. That date became the day that we honor our active and veteran military members every year. While we celebrate with slight differences in Canada and the U.S., the core values of honoring those who served (and serve) and fought to protect our freedoms transcend the borders and remain the same, lest we forget.

From Vimy Ridge to the Middle East, their service and sacrifice, pride, legacy and memory is what we celebrate. In Canada, we celebrate Remembrance Day and the 650,000 Canadians and pre-confederation Newfoundlanders who punctuated our evolution as a sovereign nation. In the U.S., we celebrate Veteran’s Day, canonized by President Woodrow Wilson who said, “To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory…”

For everyone at IKO, it is an opportunity to share in that memory and celebration. We salute and support our troops; past and present, home and abroad. We thank you so humbly for your continued sacrifice and commitment.
