Research and Quality Control
Today the research and quality control facility at our Brampton, Ontario plant represents the brains at the heart of IKO. Here, teams of experts constantly refine our production processes, control the quality of our raw materials and evaluate the performance of our finished products.

Their services extend beyond our borders. They recently helped IKO's European operations co-ordinate a Factory Mutual system approval for Ruberoid in the United Kingdom.

• Some of their activities are bound to surprise you, but it's important to understand the scope of their influence on IKO's success around the globe.
• Provide and approve precise specifications for all of IKO's asphalt roofing products.
• Routinely audit random samples of our products from all facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
• Coordinate the company’s independent product approvals with such prestigious organizations as the Canadian Construction Materials Center, FM Global and Underwriters Laboratories.

At home in Canada, the department is a key participant in developing industry standards. IKO's Manager of Research and Quality Control chairs the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Roofing Technical Committee. By sharing their expertise, the Research team is polishing IKO's sterling reputation as an industry leader and innovator.
