Reflective mineral granules are embedded in the top surface to provide protection against ultraviolet radiation. A removable silicone-treated release film covers the self-adhering underside which is removed during application. This cap sheet is constructed with a durable composite reinforcement consisting of non-woven polyester reinforced with a glass fiber scrim in both the machine and cross-machine directions. This composite reinforcement provides excellent dimensional stability and superior stress tolerance for the most demanding building requirements. ArmourCool SA – HD Cap is coated with select SBS polymers and premium asphalt to a finished thickness of 5.2 mm (205 mils).
