IKO’s Ultimate Shingle in Design, Thickness, Heavy Weight and Exposure

Armourshake shingles carry a Class 3 Impact Resistance rating*. Class 4 Impact Resistance rating* is also available (Shadow Black only).* Install them with IKO PROFORMAX Integrated Roofing Accessories and IKO’s High Wind Application to qualify your homeowner’s new roof for limited wind coverage to 130 mph (210 km/h).

*This rating is solely for the purpose of enabling residential property owners to obtain a reduction in their residential insurance premium, if available. This is not a guarantee of impact resistance against hail. Damage from hail is not covered under the limited warranty.

IKO’s special “Advantage” size gives you another competitive edge. Armourshake is packaged 70 shingles to a square, while some comparable products can range up to 90 per square. The proprietary IKO FastLock® sealant has one of the fastest tack times currently available, even in extremely cold temperatures. (Note that the limited wind resistance warranty requires that shingles are sealed at the time of installation.)
